TVB Reflections

Returning to the blogging world from a three-week long hiatus, I’ve created some patterns and coded a new layout for the site. Since I’m a huge fan of dark themes, this layout sports another black color scheme. I realize that summer is fast approaching, but I suppose this is a demonstration of my hopeless stance against the warm temperatures.

Regarding browser compatibility, although the safe, flexible, and highly customizable Firefox is recommended, I’ve tried my best to make the layout compatible in all popular browsers – yes, even the buggy Internet Explorer 6 that fails to render some codes properly and lacks support for certain types of images (e.g. PNG). However, please do let me know if you find anything that looks odd. I’m always open to suggestions on improving any aspects of this site.

I’ve just been too busy with schoolwork and studying for exams these past two weeks to write any posts. However, I did manage to make a few minor site updates and a new banner. Originally, the banner featured Myolie Wu and Bosco Wong, but with the upcoming release of the long-awaited The Seventh Day next week, they were eventually replaced by Niki Chow and Kevin Cheng. I’m quite satisfied with the overall result and how the colors are complementary to the ones in this dark layout.

Regarding the series I’m currently watching, The Gentle Crackdown II has been the most entertaining. Wayne Lai and Steven Ma have great on-screen chemistry and the supporting characters are hilarious. I’m planning to write a few posts on it later. For now, here’s a Valentine’s Day card featuring Yumiko Cheng’s character, “Chan Sai Mui.” Happy Valentine’s Day!

Finally, I’ve taken the plunge and moved TVB Reflections from Blogger to its very own subdomain. This site is now hosted by Bluehost and powered by Wordpress. I’m still getting used to managing everything on a new platform, but I love the levels of flexibility and control available. As you can see, a new layout has been customized: it’s more “clean” and organized than the Blogger layout, especially with the addition of pages in the above navigation menu. Some of the old posts have been ported over, but I’m probably going to leave the rest behind unless a reader suggests otherwise. The links of affiliates have been moved here. As a recommendation, please use Firefox to ensure optimal viewing as there are some alignment issues in Internet Explorer 6/7.

To those who have followed me here from the old site: thank you for your continued support! May this be the start of something special.
