Oh yes, Liza looked embarrassed, and she had to force a smile when Ka Ying told her to. “Sing Lei” means victory, but was that what he said? I’m going to have to go back and look at the video.

omg, ur back (i know the timing is different from the comment i made first but i wanted it to be at the right place =]) i couldn’t agree more with all your comments.And congrats to all the winners though, i still feel happy for them. Cutest stars of the night : Tavia, Moses and Liza. Haha! And yes I blame TVB for those awards, it shows up every time there’s difficulty in choosing best actress or something like that. Sheren’s deserving Best Actress in 2004 for Yu Fei was stuffed with an Extraordinary Actress award that has the same qualifications. Oh well, at least it acknowledges them..in a way. Congrats to them all. Tavia was cute because she was shocked and the kissing with Charmaine / Felix. LOLS! Moses was hilarious at the beginning and throughout. Liza, I just felt so bad when Law Ka Ying came out and said those stuff. What on earth does “Sing Lei” mean?!

yeah i dont get the popularity award thing..if anything i thought maybe michael would have taken that since i mean he had fans memorialing laughing gor’s death. i like lam miu miu & mak tai song tooo!!!!

You’re right. I looked at the ratings again, and Rosy Business peaked at 47 points the final week. I should have just said, “TVB ignores records.” That is so not its style.

Wow, really? I’m not familiar with the Korean awards. You think TVB is copying? Haha.

I’m so glad Sheren was crowned Best Actress. She really deserved it, especially after being snubbed two times. I guess the consolation prize went to Tavia this year, but with her potential she has a high chance winning in the future.

oh hehe, I forgot something. Honesty, I don’t think TVB ignores the ratings. Rosy Business is lower than Beyond, but after all it still rank 2nd in 2008. If Rosy is in the 20s, I doubt they’ll get the best drama or other related awards.

Like I said before, I like the results this year~ It makes you wonder who will get the awards next year since the door seems to be wide open for everyone.

I know I’m late and everything…

About the best performance, it reminds me of Korean awards, not sure if you’re familiar with it. They tend to have best actors/actresses, but the final and top honor of the night is the DaeSang, which is unisex. When I hear of best performance, I think of a more prestigious award too, except this is TVB. I shouldn’t look at it straight. LOL!

My friend told me about the best performance category awhile before the award night. I thought are they planning to do a consolation prize for Sheren again? I guess the support for Sheren was too strong, and they gave it to Tavia instead. (Although I was expecting the second choice for it would be for Charmaine actually. In fact, I pretty much assume Tavia will either get the best actress or get nothing.)

Anyway, I’m happy with the general results.

Yeah, I took those screen captures. Interesting to know Wayne’s blog was at the top. Do you think this was the reason he won the TVB.com Popularity award? If I remember correctly, Derek was sitting on the left side in the third row. This year was practically a sweep again, but I’m still very happy for the cast and crew of Rosy Business.

Hey Aeris! You haven’t made a post for a while now. I’m so glad you decided to post your thoughts up! Did you take those screen captures yourself? The quality is so good! Surprisingly, Wayne’s page shot up to first I believe a few days before the awards ceremony. I’m interested in knowing how that award is decided too. I don’t recall seeing Derek that night. Was he there? I thought he’d at least get top 5. It would’ve been better if Michael got My Favourite and let someone more deserving (Lee Kwok Lun) take the Best Supporting. I can’t believe Rosy Business practically took home all the awards. Hopefully TVB will stay fair next year.
